2019 WALK FOR LIFE A GREAT SUCCESS

Our 2019 Walk for Life took place on Saturday, October 12 at Thompson Park in East Liverpool.  Over 170 people came out to walk in support of the mission of Heartbeat, which is to provide free pregnancy and family support services to local women.  In addition to raising money to support the ministry, the event also raises awareness for and educates the public about the sanctity of life in the womb.

We are thrilled to announce that this year’s walkers raised $24,612 for Heartbeat!

A big thank you to MJB Barbecue, Tim Horton, Giant Eagle, Rayl’s Market, Horst Deli, Sheetz, Peace Valley Orchard, Trickling Springs and Two Smart Cookies for providing the food and beverages. Thank you also to Dave Byers for providing musical entertainment throughout the event.

Heartbeat is grateful for all the local churches who sponsored teams of walkers. The church that raised the most pledges was The Height UB Church.

The Walk for Life is one of two annual fundraisers Heartbeat holds to raise money for its annual budget.  Our next event will be our banquet in April 2020. Every penny donated at both events supports unborn babies and their mothers.
