We provide women with accurate medical information and emotional support so they can feel comfortable enough to make an informed decision. We do not perform abortions, provide abortion provider referrals, or profit in any way from a women’s decision.
Ava Women’s Center helps women answer three important questions

Is she really pregnant?
Pregnancy tests are not always conclusive. The test responds to a hormone released by a pregnant woman’s body called HCG. Although HCG levels may be high, the pregnancy might not be viable, as about 20-30% of all pregnancies end in natural miscarriage.
Ultrasound is the most reliable method of detecting pregnancy viability. And we provide it for free.

How far along is she?
The type and cost of the abortion procedure a woman will be eligible to receive is dependent on the gestational age of their pregnancy.
A free ultrasound exam provides this information. She will be able to verify the accuracy of our results as we allow her to see the ultrasound if she chooses.

Does she have an STD?
We offer free testing for two of the most common and treatable STDs. Abortion providers rarely offer this free service before an abortion.
Because of the invasive nature of an abortion (even the abortion pill), women need to be aware of the possible effects on their future reproductive health. An active STD can travel through her cervix (which must be opened for an abortion) and may cause Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. PID is painful and can cause infertility.
