Vision Banquets Inspire Hope

We are so thankful for everyone who participated in our 2020 Vision Banquets this fall – either on-site or virtually!  Despite two postponements, we were finally able to gather on September 10 and 11 in a celebration of life and to thank God for all He is making possible at Heartbeat. Thanks to the generous gifts of our supporters, the events raised over $60,000 for life-based initiatives in our community.

As always, it was wonderful to reconnect with friends and welcome new ones.  We hosted approximately 230 people in person at the Links at Firestone Farms between the two evenings, and had around 50 virtual participants registered as well.  Guests shared in time of worship and prayer, along with a ministry update from Linda Dankert, Heartbeat’s executive director.  The banquet presentation was especially touching when guests watched a video testimonial from an actual Ava client who openly shared about her struggle with her unplanned pregnancy and the love and care she felt outpoured by the Ava staff.  (Please keep this brave mom in your prayers!) Pastor Clint Quillen from Wintersville United Methodist Church motivated us with a biblically based message about finding and being ambassadors of hope.

A warm thank-you goes out to the charitable underwriters who made the banquet free to all attendees:
